Namibia offers the traveller magnificent natural beauty and unrivalled cultural diversity. Each region is distinctly different and allow for a great number of varied experiences. From the worlds most photographed sand dunes to wilderness areas where the Big Five still roam supreme. It is a thrilling experience. If you plan to travel to Namibia on a self drive tour it is very important to be well aware of the large distances involved in traveling between the various reg
ions of this country. The Etosha National Park is the size of Switzerland, and the low population density means that towns and villages are often great distances apart. Fly-In Safaris are highly recommended when travelling in Namibia. The North-West of Namibia, known as Kaokoland, is home to the nomadic Himba people. It is here you will find one of Namibia’s most challenging trail, Van Zyl’s Pass. The pass offers spectacular views of the Marienfluss valley. The north-eastern side of Namibia, known as the Kavango region, is almost subtropical in parts. It’s home to the largely unexplored Kaudom Nature Reserve, where you’ll find Namibia’s biggest free roaming herds of elephant, roan and sable antelope. In each area we suggest Namibia Country Lodges which are very well located and can be considered amongst the finest African Lodge accommodation in their class and area. At all of the Namibia Country Lodges various activities are conducted daily in open 4X4 vehicles by experienced resident rangers. In all cases meals are on a full board basis or half board basis. Unique Travel assists with all the surrounding aspects including itinerary planning, car rental, accommodation, guide etc.
